Six years ago, in 2011, the first, defining step of a highly eventful sojourn was taken at IIT Kharagpur with the introduction of the first 'Space Technology Festival' in India by Space Technology Students' Society (spAts), IIT Kharagpur. With the motives of inculcating a culture of space technology, inspiring research in the field of space technology, and broadening the horizons of the student community to cosmic research by eminent scientists, spAts initiated National Students' Space Challenge, India's first and largest space technology fest. NSSC provides a platform, a rostrum to explore your interests in the field of space technology and get an opportunity to prove your mettle in a plethora of events. Be a part of this fest and feel the amazement of entering into the world of astrophysics, rocket science and the deep mysteries of our vast cosmos.


The concept of a nationwide Space Technology Festival was formulated by Space Technology Students' Society, a group of students of IIT Kharagpur from various disciplines striving to achieve a greater level of awareness in space technology and space sciences among the student community of India, and has helped drive innovation by the student community in these fields
