Prof. Govind S. Krishnaswami

Prof. Govind S. Krishnaswami is a Professor of Physics at the Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI). He is a theoretical physicist working at the intersection of physics and mathematics. His academic interests include classical mechanics, nonlinear dynamics, chaos, integrable systems, fluid and plasma dynamics, particle physics and quantum field theory. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Rochester and has held research and academic positions at several leading institutions. He has also been associated with prestigious fellowship programmes including the Ramanujan Fellowship, EPSRC Fellowship and Marie Curie Fellowship. He is the author of Classical Mechanics: From Particles to Continua and Regularity to Chaos.
